Keri is located on the southern cape of the island. Village of Keri is 19km far from town of Zante and 5km from Laganas. The village has plenty of tavernas and a pebble beach but nothing special.
The real attraction of Keri is about 1km uphill after the village. There it’s the lighthouse of Keri, built on the top of a 300meters high cliff with a -literally- breathtaking view of the rocky cliff and the Ionian sea. Best time to pay a visit is in the afternoon, when the sunset makes the view even more spectacular.
If you want also admire the view of the rocky landscape and the sea caves from closer, the only way is to rent a boat (no special license is needed) from village of Keri. That way you will have a unique chance to view the amazing caves on the southernmost point of the Zante, named Kamares.
