The most incredible places of Zante island, such as Navagio (Shipwreck beach), Blue Caves or Keri Caves – unfortunatelly – can’t be accessed by anything else than a boat. However, there are still several options on how to visit them.
First option is medium-sized cruise ships that depart every morning from Laganas and Zakynthos town, and travel you around the whole island for the whole day. They offer free lunch on board, and stop in Navagio (Shipwreck beach) for a swim, and other popular places.
Another – maybe better- option is the small boat cruise, as they can go closer to the caves and give you a better view. Small boat cruises starts from Agios Nikolaos Volimon port, in the northen part of the island, and sail to Blue Caves, and Navagio (Shipwreck beach). Agios Nikolaos Volimon port is quite far from most resorts, but you can combine the journey with a visit over Navagio beach in your way there. For sure, a must-have cruise. Small boat cruises also starts from Keri Lake to Keri caves, and from Laganas beach within Laganas bay where you might meet a Caretta Caretta turle if your boat has a glass bottom.

Third and best option is to hire a boat yourself. That might cost more, but you will be able to stop wherever you want and stay as long as you like. You will easily find boat rental spots in Keri Lake, Laganas or Agios Nikolaos Volimon port. Prefer the last spot for excursions to Blue Caves, and Navagio (Shipwreck beach), or the first two spots for Keri Caves and Laganas bay.
